STARPORT: AARU IV
Features
Major Terminal. Mos Klarius Starport is the major interstellar terminal on Aaru IV. A less kind appraisal would be to say it is the only functional terminal.
Android Manufacturing. The entire city hisses and squeals with the hydraulic engines which constantly press droid parts day and night. It is commonly understood that while the starport produces a variety of droid chassis, the intellect chips and programming industries required to complete a droid from end to end are insufficiently developed to properly manufacture complete droids. Industrial Automaton do utilise various nearby storage facilities to complement their factories in Mos Klarius.
Underworld Controlled. Aaru IV is officially administered by Industrial Automaton, whose primary interest on the planet is the export of nasteen. In reality, the planet is ruled by several competing criminal organisations.
Locations
The Greenhouse. Though a variety of local squatters have frequented the old florist on the outskirts of the Mos Klarius plateau for some time, the building itself has been abandoned for years. It is currently the haunt of a number of local miscreants, about whom the locals know little and widely theorise about as to their actual purpose.
Free-Fall Bar and Grille. One of the most nefarious corporate franchises in the known galaxy, the Free-Fall Bar and Grille has infested a half-billion planets across the Galactic Empire, and has even made forays into some far-flung but prosperous starports in the Outer Rim. Mos Klarius’ local franchise is one such place.
Hutt Bunker. A dive-bar of some notoriety, the Hutt Bunker is run by a grizzled old Weequay called Thaddeus who, rumour has it, used to run with the Hutts but was betrayed once too often. Settling on Aaru IV, he created the Hutt Bunker, “a place of splendour, but not sobriety, and mercifully free from the smelly, sweaty palms of some greasy slug brute.” Thaddeus has won a widespread, if grudging, respect among those who view his rejection of the Hutt cartels as either brave, or foolhardy.
