STORAGE FACILITY: AARU IV
Features
Desert Towers. The various storage facilities which Industrial Automaton utilise on Aaru IV are large, virtually impregnable, and classically practical—and, therefore, unoriginal—in their architectural design. However, they are easily defended with relatively light security.
Unobtrusive. In order to avoid paying fees to the various underworld organisations to construct such large buildings within the boundaries of Mos Klarius, Industrial Automaton have set up their largest storage sites just beyond the outer reaches of the city. While they are largely out of sight of the majority of the populace, they are nevertheless common landmarks for pilots of incoming or outgoing merchant vessels, who refer to them as “the fat fingers”.
Storage. With such light security, the storage facilities are rumoured to be full of little more than junk, perhaps more likely to be a dumping ground for off-cuts, spare scrap, and perhaps even dangerous materials which might draw more attention if they were allowed to leak their contents in a crowded urban area.
Corporate Controlled. Industrial Automaton have set up droid security protocols at each site, utilising their notoriously hardy LX-24 patrol droids. Though they are occasionally raided by local gangs or thieves, the droids have proven quite effective, and most of the serious criminal elements largely ignore the facilities.
