MALASTAIRE-GRADE RESTAURANT: FIEN DUMONDE
Features
Six Rings of Malastaire. Though seen as something of a joke by many more serious venues within the Core Worlds, the Fien Gastralaxy has indeed earned quite a reputation for itself, gathering six coveted Rings of Malastaire—the galaxy’s most prestigious recognition of gastronomic quality.
Fine Dining. Despite the bilge offered in the rest of the facility, the Fien Gastralaxy manages to provide a surprisingly good service and quality of food to attend the exotic nature of its fare. A typical set menu includes a rotational variety of the galaxy’s most indulgent cuisine, including extensive digestifs and whole banquets which offer luxuries like bantha-eyeball vitae and rancor-egg malaise. What these dishes actually are remains largely unknown, but with so many excellent reviews on the HoloNet it is surprising that a restaurant which typically has so few patrons has not already relocated to the Core Worlds, where it would surely become something of a phenomenon.
Chef Bax. The executive chef, a Neimoidian with only one eye, is frequently referred to as the finest food artisan on the Outer Rim. Rumour has it, however, that he was once so far indebted to a Hutt that the gangster made him cut out his own eye and include it in a meal. This might also explain why the restaurant remains perched on the edge of civilised space, rather than enjoying success elsewhere.
