Aaru XI

TERRESTRIAL AGRICULTURAL WORLD | OUTER RIM

Features

Hyperlane. The Faruvian Way passes close by the Aaru system’s gravity well signature, making commercial and refuelling stops at the system more viable.

Wild Flora. Much of Aaru XI is covered in dense jungle and thick forest. Survey data has shown that a high degree of biological density and diversity has established itself across the planet’s several biomes.

Autonomous. No particular faction or organisation has been able to claim Aaru XI for its own. It is largely run by a coalition of colonial families and merchants who have established the few settlements on the planet.

Locations

Aarus Starport. The capital city and major trade hub for the entire planet. Its primary exports are food and starship fuel. While most settlements on the planet are widely dispersed, this one region has developed a reasonably dense commercial centre.

Halaruun Plains. A large expanse of rolling hills and wetlands which stretch across vast swathes of the equatorial regions, teeming with life.

Thalaxian Superforest. An incredibly dense, sprawling forested region of the planet filled with colossal trees the size of skyscrapers.

Phenomena

A standard day on Aaru XI lasts a little under twenty standard hours, and the length of its solar year varies between nine hundred and fourteen days, and a longer nine hundred and eighty nine days, depending on the cycle of other planets in its orbital vicinity.

Native flora and fauna are abundant and diversified, and over fourteen million disparate types of life have been identified, aided by a biological focus of orbital surveys as well as a burgeoning interest among various colonist scientists. Some biologists surmise that the deep forests and jungles could support truly immense forms of life.
