Gorgon-Spit

The soldiers of the 501st Legion, whose numbers were reportedly boosted significantly with clone warriors during the Jedi Civil War, and which—rumour has it—has continued to maintain its strength in a similar fashion ever since.

Perhaps the most unfortunate side-effect of the cloning process is the accelerated decrepitude it generates, which has been well-documented. All of the clones were initially limited to a very few short years of life. It was corporate investment toward this end, after the expenditure of considerable time and resources and exposing the organisation to risk, which developed a counter-measure to ensure a longer-lived clone. These processes were, naturally, best-practice and fulfilled every available legislative requirement at the time.

The history of genyryll is one of the greatest industrial miracles of the entire Clone Wars. Historians rightly point to the bloodshed caused by [transmission static], and much focus is pointed toward political and military [indecipherable phrase], but it is easily forgotten how much hard work was invested behind the scenes. In this case, the serum proved almost immediately beneficial, and throughout extended trials genyryll was found to be the most successful.

Czerka Mercantile has led the way for generations in the development of restricted or military-grade biological enhancement products and [transmission static], which have been produced and deployed throughout a variety of markets by subsidiaries. And yet, it seems to me to be outrageous that across the span of several decades, this wondrous product has ceased [transmission static].

The simplest answer would be to point to the end of the Clone Wars. With no clones, why continue producing genyryll? Yet as we all know, the product was not developed for clones themselves, but instead as a means to extend the value of clones—a product—for their owners. Therefore, I ask you all again: why has this wondrous product simply ceased large scale manufacture?

We are staring into an abyss of opportunity, and failing to take the first step forward. How many great endeavours, [transmission static], truly ground-breaking biochemical products, would never have been developed in the first place if Czerka Mercantile had not taken a bold step forward? I would remind the board that a great many of the clone soldiers who served the Old Republic were provided with genyryll based upon their performance. This led to fierce competition between the clone units, whereupon they were appropriately incentivised to out-think, outfight, and outlast their sisters and brothers in order to gain access to the drug. One wonders what greater benefit might be gleaned from such a competitive market.

The clones themselves called genyryll either “the stuff”, or “gorgon-spit”. The former because, like most soldiers they tended to be simple and uneducated types made only for fighting, with little in the way of biochemical knowledge. The latter name, I am told, was derived from the notion that the drug might ‘freeze’ the ageing process, not unlike turning a person to stone.

We have always promoted [transmission static] and the fact remains that the clarity around the addictive nature of genyryll is clearly expressed in all of our legal documents, not least within the life extension unilateral waiver of damages document which all clones are required to verbally assent to before any treatment whatsoever was commenced. All clones who received more than three doses during the conflict were free to deny the application of this essential chemical product if they felt it might be unsafe for them personally. Czerka Mercantile has a proud history of ensuring collateral protections against potential litigation derived from misuse at the end-user point of access. There should be no need for hesitancy going forward.

—the board’s concerns with the significantly less deleterious versions of the drug previously designed for public consumption. Certainly, its effect on life forms which have not undergone rapid cellular mutation and aggressive growth acceleration were, generally, unpleasant. But those trials were undertaken over [transmission static], and none of the recipients remains alive. The HoloNet [transmission static] moratorium on [transmission static] to revisit this important line of product development, because presently a thriving black market exists which cannot be regulated while our own ability to create similar patentable [transmission static] remains muted.

—and yes, there are few records left which appropriately describe such outcomes. No evidence currently exists as to the efficacy of the mutable additives and their effect on withdrawal, but I have assurances from research and development that there is a strong chance that we can eventually design an antibody which might avoid withdrawal actually ceasing the function of the host. The auxiliary effects [transmission static] unknown, however.

In conclusion, I recommend the board [transmission static] and future profitability of the Mercantile.
